It is exceptionally clean, fast, and very safe. By using the subway, you can easily go anywhere you want in the city.

  To help you travel around Seoul like a local pro, here are the 5 essential subway stations you must know, along with their unique features and nearby attractions!




 1. Seoul Station (Line 1, 4, Gyeongui-Jungang, Airport Railroad, KTX)

  • The ultimate transportation hub of South Korea.

  • Key Features : It connects 5 different subway lines. Most importantly, you can take the Airport Railroad here to go directly to Incheon International Airport. It is also the main station for the KTX (bullet train), which takes you to other beautiful cities like Busan or Gyeongju.

  • Nearby Attractions : Lotte Mart (the best place to buy Korean snacks before leaving).


 2. Myeongdong Station (Line 4)

  • The paradise for shopping and K-beauty.

  • Key Features: This is the most visited station by first-time tourists. It is highly accessible and filled with currency exchange booths, making it the perfect basecamp for foreigners.

  • Nearby Attractions: Myeongdong Night Market (famous for amazing Korean street foods), giant K-beauty stores, and the Namsan Cable Car to visit N Seoul Tower.
